Everything was going along swimmingly in
Rick Beneteau's life in the mid-1990's when he decided to sell his multi-store drycleaning business
and devote his life to his first love - writing and promoting songs.
As fate would have it, he was divorced ("Canadian-style" as he calls it) before the first product
of his fledgling music production company was even launched, and he eventually lost most of his asset base, including the home and
brand new recording studio.
So in 1998, deep in debt, he turned to the World Wide Web and decided "if I can't figure out how to make a living with 40 million people (at that time) connected together, then I
deserve to sell shoes"! With no "gurus" or even guidelines to follow at the time, he had to quickly learn what to
do and not to do. Despite making what he calls "a few mistakes," within a year he had managed
to start a popular newsletter, The Mirror, and a thriving affiliate program, The I.D. IT! Plates Partner Program, which was among the Internet first 2-Tier offerings.
He also started writing articles and was immediately featured in all the major marketing ezines at the time.
Rick's common sense and inspirational advice, delivered in the warm, friendly
style that has become his trademark, immediately made the 48-year old Canadian
entrepreneur a popular internet presence. This popularity led to the exponential growth of his newsletter and affiliate
program, as well as writing of his first eBook, The Ezine Marketing
Machine.
Two more eBooks followed, Branding YOU and Breaking the
Bank, and Power Publicity, and today, Rick has over 17,000 affiliates promoting his books and plates throughout the world.
His business building articles, based on his
considerable marketing experience, have been featured in hundreds of online and
print publications.
Rick's latest ventures have veered back more
toward his first love and include PeopleBuildingPeople,
